Curriculum Vitae

Penelope Dossi was born in 1972 in Ioannina. She graduated from the 1st Senior High School of IIioupoli with highest honours. In 1995, she graduated from the Athens Technological Educational Institute, Department of Physiotherapy, with great honours having completed an internship at the “Asklepeion” General Hospital in Voula. 

She has worked in private physiotherapy practices and as a free-lancer in many private clinics in Athens (Athens Medical Group-Iatriko in Amaroussio, the Apolloneio Rehabilitation Center, Athenaion Clinic, etc.) as well as the “Andreas Syggros” Hospital (Clinics, Aids Department).

In 2004 she founded her own private model centre of physiotherapy in N. Smyrni where she has been working to this day.

In these last 25 years since she graduated she has helped to restore:

  • Musculoskeletal conditions arising from a wide variety of pathologies (knee/hip arthroplasty, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, scoliosis, shoulder periarthritis, fractures, tendon and ligament tears, neonatal valgus and varus knee, etc.);
  • Neurological conditions (strokes, multiple sclerosis, facial nerve paralysis, etc.);
  • Cardiovascular conditions (COPD, etc.);
  • Auto-immune diseases (dermatomyositis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.).

Penelope Dossi has attended many seminars, conferences and day-events focusing mainly on musculoskeletal physiotherapy and the physiology of pain (for example, special immobilization techniques – Cyriax – by the American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine).– Cyriax – από American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine).

She is a member of the Pan-Hellenic Association of Physiotherapists.
