Designed 35 years ago by Dr Kenzo Kase, Kinesio tapes have a broad range of uses. Kinesio tapes are applied to the body and do not impede freedom of movement.
Kinesio taping facilitates the recession of oedema while improving lymph and blood circulation and helping to restore muscular function by proprioreception; in addition, it supports ligaments and tendons. This results in swift reduction of pain and improvement of joint and muscle function.

The effects of most methods end with the session. By contrast, kinesio taping continues to work for as long as the tape remains on the patient. Moreover, Kinesio tapes do not contain any pharmacologically active agents.

Key-functions and effects of Kinesio taping:
1. Improvement of muscle function;
2. Elimination of circulation disorders ;
3. Reduction of pain;
4. Support to joints.
